PMS

Every woman experiences PMS and it’s not pretty. Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) refers to the physical and emotional symptoms that accompany your period and can sometimes be so severe that it affects your ability to function properly. In those cases, your doctor will prescribe medications to help alleviate symptoms.

PMS usually occurs a week before you get your period. These symptoms can include:

  • stomach cramps
  • headaches
  • tender or sore breasts
  • fatigue
  • moodiness
  • irritability
  • sadness
  • depression
  • heightened anxiety
  • overeating

If you experience itchiness and an abnormally strong vaginal odour before, during, or after your period, you may have a vaginal infection.
